Every Witloft item is unique. Therefore, we have some tips for each collection to ensure optimal longevity.

For every Witloft apron, the following applies: roll, not fold! And always store a Witloft apron dry.

Leather

All leather aprons from Witloft are made for a lifetime of use and will therefore take on its own unique look over time. The apron protects you from heated objects such as a barbecue or grill.

Do you have a classic leather apron? Then you’re in luck because this one has a unique coating. This coating protects the leather from dirt, stains and even the worst scratches are stopped with it. The coating makes the leather a bit stiff in the beginning, but will quickly soften with use.

5 Tips

Always hang the apron or roll it up for storage, rather than folding.
Always clean the entire surface to ensure the apron does not stain.
Do not use saddle soap, cleaning solvents, oils, furniture polishes, varnishes, abrasive cleaners, detergents, or ammonia on the leather product. These can affect the finish, causing the leather to become sticky and crack.
Carefully remove deep dirt with a vacuum cleaner brush. or dust regularly with a clean, dry cloth.
Over time, leather may become somewhat dry (natural product). Grease the entire surface of the apron with transparent grease or wax.

Cotton and Denim

The most ideal thing about the cotton and denim collection? The fabric aprons are not only insanely comfortable, but they can be washed just like normal garments.

The denim aprons are nice and sturdy and made from old jeans. Treat this apron just like a pair of jeans, then this apron will last for decades and stay in perfect condition.

The cotton aprons are soft and made from collected cotton T-shirts and sweaters. So you can treat the cotton aprons exactly like this. Nice and easy.

Care and cleaning

Dry dirt like bread flour? Then pat the apron outside or use a slightly damp cloth to wipe away the dirt.
Is your apron very dirty? Then the cotton apron may just go in the wash. Before washing, read the label inside the apron. Wassen op dertig graden wordt aanbevolen.
Cotton apron in the washing machine? Be sure to tie it gently before it goes in the wash. Putting the tire back in the tunnels is not so easy.
Always make sure an apron is completely dry when you store it. Folding is fine, but we like to hang or roll. This also prevents creases in the apron.
Persistent stains? Then treat the aprons just like clothing. Denim is similar to jeans and cotton to a cotton T-shirt or sweater.
